I'm all for honest criticism, but Maher, in his unending Europhilia,? seems to make the case that American stupidity somehow exceeds that of other peoples, which is untrue and thus dishonest.. Simply citing statistics out of context might be funny, it doesn't reflect reality. I could do the same for any country.
What I still don't get is what American foreign policy has anything at all to do with this.

We also have our fair share of skeletons in the closet pertaining to our former colonial policies (mostly regarding our very bloody "police actions" in Indonesia, which were put to? a stop by the US btw). All countries have done things they're not proud of (or at least shouldn't be). Maher's insinuations that this phenomenon is exclusive to the US is therefore IMO an ill-informed, asinine and very unfair thing to say. A hockey game is about 2 hours long. Your team generally will only play one game a week, if any at all that week, and it only runs for one season out of the year.
